DESIGNERS REMIX
ROLE: DESIGN INTERN
During my time at Designers Remix, I assisted the design team with seasonal collection development, including Pre-Spring 2019.
My responsibilities included trend research, fabric sourcing, creating technical packs, updating collection boards and preparing design presentations, alongside assisting with photoshoots. I worked with draping and created mock-ups that later turned into real styles.
I also contributed to the brand’s “From Waste to Wardrobe” approach, which gives existing garments and materials a new life through creative reworking. I developed new designs from existing pieces, exploring how their fabrics, shapes and details could be transformed into something new.
FROM WASTE TO WARDROBE
Designers Remix’s “From Waste to Wardrobe” initiative gives existing garments and deadstock materials a new life through upcycling. I assisted the design team and developed new styles by reworking existing pieces, experimenting with draping, silhouettes and details. The finished upcycled styles were then sold in the Designers Remix store.
